Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m James Bond

The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m James Bond and…

This year will mark another chapter in the 007’s saga, that will be a remake of one of the most successful movies based on Ian Fleming’s novel: SpectreOmega has been the secret agent’s official timepiece for a long time that started, with Daniel Craig as the main actor, with the Planet Ocean Casino Royale 007 and Omega gives us a preview, nearly two months ahead of Baselworld 2015, of the watch that Daniel himself will wear during the film: the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m James Bond Limited Edition.

Pre Baselworld 2015 Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m James BondIt is the first time that Omega will not use, in recent times, the Planet Ocean as the starting point, to be then customized, for his James Bond limited series, and it is also the first time that Omega will not just use the 007 logo. The dial and the central seconds hand are adorned with a badge, unknown to most people, which represents the official Bond family’s insignia, that Ian Flaming introduced with the penultimate novel “You only live twice”, where he wrote for the first time about James Bond’s origins, for example about his family and teenage years. This logo originally came with the famous wording “Orbis non sufficit” (The world is not enough), that has recently been used for one of its films.

Bond coat of armsThis official badge, that in the past has also been used on luxury accessories from the James Bond’s merchandise, is repeated on the dial of the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m >15000 Gauss. The 007 logo modifies the “>15000 Gauss” wording, turning it into “>15007 Gauss” (15007 is the total pieces that have been made of this watch); 15000 is the maximum magnetic field intensity any Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m can withstand, without its precision rate being affected. Omega has also reworked the winding rotor of the 8507 caliber using the 007 logo, but no image has yet been released; we will therefore have to wait for additional information to see the result.

Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m vs James BondOmega has also previewed its Constellation Pluma with coral colored dial. Its 27mm wide case is adorned with 11 indexes made of diamonds, encased in 18k gold, and features a wavy plume-like pattern on the dial. The hour and minutes hands are also made of 18k gold, and are covered with Superluminova. The bezel, in 18k gold, is adorned with 32 diamonds and the bracelet is made out of steel with gold inserts. Both timepieces come with a full 4 year warranty, but no info has been yet released about their retail price, which we expect Omega to release at Baselworld 2015.
