Hermès needs no introduction, and neither does its watch department. Their first watch dates back to 1912 and was a gift for Emile Hermès’ daughter. In 1928, the production of watches took off thanks to the partnership with Movado. In 1978, the Maison opened its Watch Division in Biel, Switzerland. The acquisition of Vaucher SA in 2006 was the first step in building an increasingly integrated watch manufacturing company.
