The Breguet Tradition Automatique Seconde Retrograde 7097
Three months before the official opening of Baselworld 2015, watchmaking brands are starting to offer a preview of the new collections. As we’re not just talking about any brand, but about a manufacturer whose founder has written many pages in watchmaking history, such as Breguet, this news gains even more resonance.
The Breguet Tradition Automatique Seconde Retrograde 7097 is the latest addition to the Tradition collection launched in 2005 with reference 7027 whose main feature is to showcase movement mechanisms such as bridges, wheels, escapement, barrel and other components on top of the baseplate.
This components displacement gives you at first sight the idea parts are floating inside the case. In a Breguet Tradition Automatique Seconde Retrograde 7097 the bridges and baseplate are peened, the silvered dial offset at 12 boasts a hand made engine-turned hobnail pattern. On the left hand side of the dial you may find, slightly lifted up, the retrograde seconds hand while at 4 is placed the unmistakable pare-chute (the modern Incabloc's forerunner) device to protect the balance assembly from shocks. No info yet about its price and availability, more to come over the next few months.
