CONTEST: The Longines Oldest Watch Contest – Italy

After making a small jump into the future, with the launch of the Longines Hydroconquest in ceramic, Longines is now focusing once again on its long history, not to celebrate an upcoming anniversary of the brand or one of its collections, but to offer a unique opportunity for watch enthusiasts instead. The brand founded in 1832 that marked the history of both mechanical and quartz watchmaking established a contest titled: "The Longines Oldest Watch Contest – Italy."

What is it? The contest aims at identifying the oldest Longines ever owned in Italy. It is no coincidence Italy ranks among the countries where the brand launched the competition; Italy is, for Longines, one of the most important markets and counts many enthusiasts, whether they go for a modern HydroConquest, or step into an authorized retailer to buy a Skin Diver.

The rules of the competition. How to participate and become part of Longines' history.

How to apply? The chance is unique and allows Italian enthusiasts to become part of the brand's history and access the world of Longines through a privileged channel.

If you live in Italy and own an old Longines watch, please follow the simple process the brand has developed to help you register your "old" Longines watch, something you can do by surfing the Longines Italy official website or taking your watch to your nearest Longines authorized retailer. If you choose the first option, please head to the Longines homepage, by clicking here:

You will be then guided step by step through the registration process. In the second case, instead, you may quickly find your nearest retailer by accessing the official dealers' page, you can find on here:

You still have doubts, and you'd like to talk to Longines before joining? Please contact the brand.

Do you still have some doubts and you're willing to grab more information about the contest and registration process, for example? Longines offers you the option to talk to them via two direct channels, one via email, the other via their Italian Facebook page. Please, find them below:

You've read it right! The winner of the "Longines Oldest Watch Contest – Italy" contest will be awarded a watch from the Heritage collection and a Longines Heritage Flagship in particular. He/she will win a trip for two to Longines' headquarters too, that includes a tour of the museum that I visited in 2015 and which, I can confirm to be one of the most appealing watchmaking museums I ever visited.
