Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Minute Repeater Tourbillon

Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Minute Repeater Tourbillon – Pre SIHH 2017

/

The manufacture Vacheron Constantin can boast at least 21 tourbillon models and 6 of them combine together this historic complication with the fascinating minute repeater, and all of them are part of the Traditionnelle collection. This historic collection highlights, once again, the skills of the manufacturing company from Geneva, who is able to craft real mechanic masterpieces as it clearly showed when it released the new Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Minute Repeater Tourbillon in three different versions. These models complete a collection that, until today, included the three versions of the 2755 caliber; the fusion between a tourbillon, a minute repeater and a perpetual calendar.

The timepiece comes in pink gold (reference 6500T/000R-B324) or platinum (references 6500T/000P-9949 and 6500T/000P-B100 with silver opaline dial or slate dial respectively). The case of the Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Minute Repeater Tourbillon measures 44mm in size and is 12.2mm thick, and the manufacturer’s skilled watch-masters have hand-made a guillochè pattern on the dial. The hours and minutes hands are slightly off-centered and made of pink gold or white gold depending on the different versions. The one-minute-tourbillon of the 2755 TMR manual caliber – running at a frequency of 2.5Hz and guaranteeing up to 58 hours of power reserve that are indicated on a dedicated scale located on the side of the movement – is inserted within an opening located at 6 o’clock, where one can clearly see the upper carriage built in the shape of a Malta cross (the manufacturer’s logo since its foundation), and the tiny polished bar, whose entirely hand-making requires about 11 hours of time.

The Minute Repeater is triggered by pressing the button located at 8 o’clock and it chimes every hour/quarter of an hour/minute. The 2755 TMR caliber is made up of 471 components and has been awarded the prestigious Hallmark of Geneva, whose seal is clearly visible on the Cotes de Gènève decorations of the caliber. Like all the very high-range in-house built Traditionnelle timepieces, the Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Minute Repeater Tourbillon will be available exclusively at the brand’s boutiques (for all our Italian fans, please note that your closest boutique is located in Geneva), and this watch will be among the highlights of the next SIHH that will open next Monday, on 19th January.
