If you visited Omega’s website in the past few days, you may have spotted an unexpected detail at the top of the Seamaster Diver 300M product page.
OMEGA’s official logo was swapped with Spectre’s latest logo, as seen in the eponymous 2015 film starring Daniel Craig.
This playful teaser foreshadowed new additions to the collection celebrating Her Majesty’s secret agent, showcasing the seemingly unlimited creativity behind the watches worn by Craig—and his soon-to-come successor.
Omega has now unveiled six new Seamaster watches, including two limited-edition sets, confirming the Seamaster Diver 300M as the favourite platform for special editions.
The latest releases are sure to impress Bond enthusiasts once again, while unleashing Omega’s new approach to 007-branded watches.
Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond and Spectre
Omega has long since abandoned issuing limited editions with massive production runs and profound customisation.
For the Seamaster Diver 300M and Speedmaster, the brand has instead fostered special editions and adopted a more restrained design language.
The Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition established a sub-collection within the vast Diver 300M family. Then came steel releases in Bond and standard silhouettes, with no-date dials, glass box crystals, and a newly developed brushed Milanese mesh bracelet whose flat profile makes the watch exceptionally comfortable.
The latest additions revisit the Bond theme alongside Spectre, marking the first time the offering has been divided into two non-limited steel models. Both adopt a 42.0 mm platform, but their appearance and bespoke details give each its own character.
Omega Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond
The James Bond model pairs a steel case with a tone-on-tone grade 5 titanium alloy bezel. Reference 210.30.42.20.03.004 is a three-material watch: its blue wave-pattern dial is made from an aluminium disc.
Excluding the blue dial, this steel, aluminium, and titanium Seamaster Diver 300M is largely monochromatic. The bezel’s granular texture and mirror-polished scale numerals seamlessly fit the case and bracelet’s tones.
Omega’s NAIAD-lock system aligns the caseback precisely, and the exhibition sapphire caseback reveals the Master Chronometer-certified calibre 8806. Its rotor incorporates the gun-barrel-shaped winding mass, long a hallmark of the brand’s 007 editions.
This may well be Omega’s most understated Bond special edition to date. On the dial side, its distinguishing feature is the applied 12 o’clock marker, which glows blue in the dark; the minute hand glows green.
It is a watch for enthusiasts who love the Seamaster Diver 300M and the Bond franchise in equal measure, but prefer their tributes discreet. Slim and comfortable on the wrist, it gains sophistication from its two-tone colour scheme.
Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Spectre
For the Spectre edition, Omega’s designers have devised a fresh commemorative motif. It shares the Bond model’s underlying architecture, yet has a distinctly different identity.
A textured black dial sets the tone, accompanied by a matte black ceramicbezel ring in place of the metal version. Turn the watch over, though, and you’ll find its most intriguing detail.
The rotor of calibre 8806 features Spectre’s emblem, adding a playful touch that fits flawlessly with the watch’s design.
Completing the theme, “SPECTRE” is engraved around the caseback in the same typeface as the official logo.
It is a pity Omega did not incorporate the emblem into the dial. While consistent with Omega’s discreet approach to customisation, a bolder dial treatment would have been welcomed by Omega and Bond enthusiasts.
Bespoke Watch box
Both watches will come in a bespoke presentation box. The Bond edition’s blue lacquered one features a release button shaped like the 007 logo.
The Spectre edition’s black box has a matching release button shaped like Spectre’s emblem. Omega deserves credit for remaining one of the few premium watchmakers to lavish such attention on its presentation boxes, which here become collectables in their own right.
Two Limited-Edition Sets
Omega is also offering two 77-piece limited-edition sets. Each contains a steel watch and a platinum-gold variant featuring a polished ceramicbezel and an 18-carat white gold dial with a gradient PVD finish.
The precious-metal editions feature more distinctive design details. The platinum-gold Bond watch features a gun-barrel motif across the dial, while its Spectre counterpart carries the octopus emblem.
Each set includes several Bond-themed accessories to delight the most devoted Bond fan: a leather travel case, a replacement NATO strap, cufflinks, a magnifying glass and a cord bracelet, all personalised with either the 007 logo or Spectre’s emblem, as appropriate.
Retail prices are € 8,500 each for the steel models.
