Enthusiasts are using CasioNaut<\/strong> as a nickname for the new G-Shock GAC-2500 and GMC-2500<\/strong>, two analogue models with soft-touch, rounded cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their silhouette immediately drew comparisons to the Patek Philippe Nautilus<\/a><\/strong>, although CasioNaut isn\u2019t an official name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the visual similarity, Casio describes the new models as analogue reinterpretations of the 1983 DW<\/strong>\u20135000C<\/strong>, the original G-Shock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shock resistance remains the starting point, while flowing shapes<\/strong> and an uncluttered dial take the design in a new direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CasioNaut: why the new G-Shocks recall the Nautilus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The comparison stems largely from the case shape<\/strong>, with its pronounced flanks and rounded surfaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compared with the sharper geometry of many G-Shocks, the GAC<\/strong>\u20132500 and GMC<\/strong>\u20132500<\/strong> look closer to integrated sports watches.<\/p>\n\n\n

The main technical feature is the Multi-Mission Date<\/strong> display, which adopts a three-cell window at 3 o\u2019clock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
