What do\u00a0we\u00a0think? Given\u00a0the black look and the ceramics\u2019 unmatched lightness, you can hardly notice it. Touch and feel are empowered by a <em>\u201cjet black\u201d<\/em> Pantone whose metallic dark grey highlights the Polo\u2019s signature satin finish on the bezel and lugs, as seen from atop. It is as distinctive as the <strong>polished\u00a0treatment<\/strong> on the bezel, case side, and crown.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\" id=\"the-piaget-caliber-1200s1\">The Piaget caliber 1200S1<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Skeletonization raises new heights; blue is replaced by <strong>dark grey<\/strong> on the bridges, except for the floating indexes and micro-rotor in classic <em>\u201cPiaget Blue.\u201d<\/em> The grey finish highlights bevelling and polishing, and the contrasting snail\u00a0finish on the wheels makes the whole dial more refined than ever before. Unfortunately, the case is waterproof up to 5 atm, so please think before wearing it during water sports activities.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-53904 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/piaget-polo-skeleton-ceramic-9.jpg\" alt=\"piaget polo skeleton ceramic 9\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Piaget inscription on the winding mass, placed on the dial side, is filled with <strong>luminescent material<\/strong> and glows in the dark with the applied indexes. A see-through <strong>titanium ring<\/strong>, often seen on a ceramic case, secures the case back. You can admire the back of the micro-rotor carrying the Piaget coat of arms through the sapphire crystal.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\" id=\"final-thoughts\">Final thoughts<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Watch brands like Piaget have the advantage of taking their time to analyze each new proposition. Time to market doesn\u2019t hold a front-row seat, even more so when <strong>the first ceramic watch<\/strong> is at stake. We appreciate how designers preserved Polo\u2019s DNA. It is not hard to replicate steel finishes on a\u00a0ceramic case. Zirconia oxide\u00a0allows watchmakers to perform anything, and the brand successfully placed <strong>Polo\u2019s\u00a0premium feel<\/strong> on a different\u00a0product.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-53886 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/piaget-polo-skeleton-ceramic.jpg\" alt=\"piaget polo skeleton ceramic\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, the Polo Skeleton Ceramic is possibly a polarizing\u00a0watch since black watches are not everybody\u2019s cup of tea. Yet, Piaget crafted an attractive colour combination on a luxury watch this dark. At 7.9 mm in thickness, we would have <strong>explored a more ingenious technical solution<\/strong> to guarantee at least 100 meters of water resistance; it feels like a missed\u00a0opportunity for such a sporty-looking watch with two rubber straps available.
