Haute Horlogerie and Haute Cuisine are just different forms of art. The first one is based amidst the Swiss mountains with\u00a0Blancpain\u00a0nestled in the small town of\u00a0Le Brassus\u00a0since\u00a01735; Haute Cuisine has an International foothold; yet,\u00a0Italy\u00a0plays a key role, and the\u00a0Michelin Guide\u00a0is the place to go if you\u2019re eager to discover the best Italian-starred chefs and where are their restaurants located North to South. It is likely that, if you\u2019re visiting some of the mentioned restaurants, you\u2019ll end up meeting a starred chef with a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/en\/blancpain-fifty-fathoms-bathyscaphe-day-date-desert-edition\/\"><strong>Bathyscaphe<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0or a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/en\/blancpain-villeret-tourbillon-volant-heure-sautante-minute-retrograde-watch-hands-on-horbiter\/\"><strong>Villeret<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0wrapped around their wrist. Interestingly, the association between\u00a0Blancpain\u00a0and premium-luxury food began almost forty years ago.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32702\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/blanpcain-niko-romito-2-1.jpeg\" alt=\"blanpcain-niko-romito-2-1\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It officially dates back to\u00a01986.\u00a0Blancpain\u00a0prized \u201cfriend of the brand\u201d\u00a0Fr\u00e9dy\u00a0Girardet, awarded\u00a0\u201cBest Chef in the world\u201d\u00a0with a specially engraved watch. From that moment onwards,\u00a0Blancpain\u00a0has fostered Haute Cuisine by increasing its partnership program to celebrate the world\u2019s best chefs while confirming a boutique approach to authentic projects, whether about haute cuisine or the oceans\u2019 preservation.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32697\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/blanpcain-niko-romito-3.jpg\" alt=\"blanpcain-niko-romito-3\" width=\"1200\" height=\"888\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/blanpcain-niko-romito-3.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/blanpcain-niko-romito-3-300x222.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/blanpcain-niko-romito-3-1024x758.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/blanpcain-niko-romito-3-768x568.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/blanpcain-niko-romito-3-480x355.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On\u00a0October 26th, at the\u00a0Spazio Niko Romito\u00a0located in\u00a0Piazza del Duomo,\u00a0Blancpain\u00a0celebrated the starred-chef\u00a0Niko Romito, assigning him the\u00a02021 Michelin Chef Mentor Award, one out of four special prizes awarded.\u00a0Niko Romito\u00a0comes from\u00a0Castel di Sangro, in\u00a0Abruzzo, and his restaurant,\u00a0Reale, (which he manages with his sister Cristina) opened in\u00a02000\u00a0and faced a staggering success as proved in\u00a02007\u00a0when they took the first Michelin star, then in\u00a02009\u00a0with the addition of the second one; the\u00a0Reale\u00a0became a\u00a0three-star Michelin restaurant\u00a0in\u00a02013.
