This statement is true unless you met the two guys in the picture below:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Rec-watches-founders.jpg\" rel=\"prettyPhoto\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Rec-watches-founders.jpg\" alt=\"Rec watches founders\"><\/a>They are, respectively <strong>Christian Mygh<\/strong> and <strong>Jonathan Kamstrup<\/strong> and are two danish watch enthusiasts. So enthusiasts to have created a watch brand that, according to what we are accustomed to, you might expect to be created in a London-ish suburb more than in the heart of Denmark, Copenhagen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Rec-watches.jpg\" rel=\"prettyPhoto\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Rec-watches.jpg\" alt=\"Rec watches\"><\/a><strong>REC Watches<\/strong> is a casual chic brand that does not reject danish minimalism but, by enlarge, merges it with a touch of British heritage and vintage culture. <strong>REC<\/strong> is the cut off to <strong>RECycle<\/strong>,<strong> REClaim<\/strong>,<strong> RECover<\/strong>: please take something to be scrapped, recycle its metal parts and make watch dials out of it, turning them into something unique. Design and model names reveal Christian and Jonathan are crazy for English cars and for one in particular.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-36503 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Rec-watches-Cooper-six.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"700\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Rec-watches-Cooper-six.jpeg 1000w, https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Rec-watches-Cooper-six-300x210.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Rec-watches-Cooper-six-768x538.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Rec-watches-Cooper-six-480x336.jpeg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sir Alec Issigonis\u2019 small cars inspired <strong>REC Watches<\/strong>\u2018 main collections: <strong>Mark I<\/strong> and <strong>Cooper<\/strong>. The first one being a two counter chrono, is perhaps the most original collection of the brand: its dial features two circular chrono counters enclosed into an elliptical part that draws inspiration from the Mark I\u2019s central dashboard. The recycled metal parts to make the dial come from old scrapped Minis Mark I though.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-36505\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Rec-watches-Mark-I.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1156\" height=\"626\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Rec-watches-Mark-I.jpeg 1156w, https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Rec-watches-Mark-I-300x162.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Rec-watches-Mark-I-1024x555.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Rec-watches-Mark-I-768x416.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Rec-watches-Mark-I-480x260.jpeg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1156px) 100vw, 1156px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Inside the <strong>Mark I<\/strong> is a Miyota that powers the hours on a 24h scale as well as a 60 minute chrono. The second collection is the <strong>Cooper<\/strong>, a three hand timepiece whose dial is embellished with the unmistakable two longitudinal stripes we have been used to see on the hood of a car that was a 3 time winner of the Rally of Montecarlo and is powered by Swiss caliber Ronda.
