September is the month when the road to the <strong>Grand Prix d\u2019Horlogerie de Gen\u00e8ve<\/strong>, the most important event that marks this year its 14th edition, gets officially under way. Taking part to the <strong>GPHG<\/strong> is for a watchmaker the same as for an actor being nominated for an <strong>Oscar<\/strong> or a music band for a <strong>Grammy Award<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/2014\/09\/gphg2013_photo_officielle_0100.jpg\" rel=\"prettyPhoto\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/2014\/09\/gphg2013_photo_officielle_0100.jpg\" alt=\"gphg2013_photo_officielle_0100\"><\/a>The 72 timepieces are the ones officially selected this summer by the <strong>GPHG<\/strong>\u2018s jury, made up of more than 20 people coming from everywhere in the world of fine watchmaking such as experts, journalists and fine collectors and are equally divided into the 12 mentioned categories: <strong>Ladies, Ladies\u2019 High-Mec, Men\u2019s, Chronograph, Tourbillon, Calendar, Striking, Mechanical Exception, <\/strong><em>\u201cPetite Aiguille\u201d<\/em><strong>, Sports, Jewellery, Artistic Crafts<\/strong>, that includes every typology of wristwatch, such as a man\u2019s or a lady\u2019s one, complicated, traditional or avantgarde.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The grand prize is the prestigious \u201c<strong>Aiguille d\u2019Or<\/strong>\u201d which was awarded last year to the outstanding <strong>Girard-Perregaux Constant Escapement LM<\/strong>, followed by a prize for each of the twelve categories, and other additional six prizes, among which one to award the most brilliant student attending the 1st year at the <strong>School of Watchmaking<\/strong> in <strong>Geneva<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Even if you\u2019re not allowed to officially attend the final ceremony that will take place October 31<sup>st<\/sup> in Geneva or the roadshow from <strong>New Delhi<\/strong>, through <strong>Beijing<\/strong> and ending in <strong>London<\/strong> at the
