A historical challenge, which started in 1829<\/strong> between the two renowned British universities and that today, about two centuries later, is more alive than ever. The date? On 6 April 2014<\/strong>, the place \u2026 of course the Thames, where the old challenge will be renewed, a challenge that has lost none of the original spirit, indeed.<\/p>\n

The ideal partner JeanRichard<\/strong><\/span>, because Daniel, the founder, was one of the fathers of modern watchmaking, a figure that has greatly contributed to its development through the generations and therefore, with its long history, is perfect for a sports event of such scope and inheritance. The model chosen is the Aquascope<\/strong>, which is the heart of the rebranding strategy of the manufacture. There are two main characteristics that, from our stand point, distinguish the\u00a0JeanRichard<\/strong><\/span> Aquascope<\/strong> Boat Race<\/strong> from all the competition: the case design, classic, but very recognizable, and the high quality finishing. And we would like to add: JeanRichard<\/strong><\/span>\u2019s unique talent to realize understated Limited Editions<\/strong> but with a perfect combination of colors; one of the risks in which some maison often incur when they make a limited series is to be tempted to characterize them too much from an aesthetic point of view, with the result of doing overmarketing.<\/p>\n

If you look at the\u00a0JeanRichard<\/strong><\/span> Aquascope Boat Race<\/strong> (like his cousin Terrascope Racing Metro 92<\/strong>), however, it immediately stands out from the standard production models thanks to some clever touches: the double index shown at twelve o'clock, to represent the colours of the two rowing schools, as to ideally portray them alongside at the starting line. The interior reahut divided into two colors, the upper standing for Cambridge<\/strong>, the lower Oxford<\/strong>, with the index at 3 o\u2019clock to represent both of them, the vertical satin finished dial (no other brand makes dials of this type) on which the second hand, adorned with the event\u2019s logo, rotates. The\u00a0JeanRichard<\/strong><\/span> Aquascope<\/strong> Boat Race<\/strong> is easy chic by default: the rubber strap has no tang buckle but a wonderful folding one with fine adjustment. Almost a sacrilege taking it diving! Now, as in May, welcome back JeanRichard<\/strong><\/span>!<\/p>\n
