Since <strong>2007<\/strong>, when the current edition first appeared, the <strong>Legend Diver<\/strong> has slightly (and slowly) changed. The product range has enlarged in the last couple of years, including a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/en\/longines-heritage-legend-diver-milanese-mesh-watch-hands-on\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color:#0000ff\"><strong>steel mesh bracelet<\/strong><\/span><\/a> or a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/en\/longines-legend-diver-black-pvd-watch-hands-on-horbiter\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color:#0000ff\"><strong>black PVD-treated case<\/strong><\/span><\/a> with a black matching rubber strap. As <strong>2020<\/strong> comes to an end, <strong>Longines<\/strong> has just taken the curtain off an unexpected <a href=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/en\/longines-avigation-bigeye-titanium-watch-hands-on\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color:#0000ff\"><strong>Big Eye in titanium<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, along with two options of the <strong>Legend Diver.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"longines-legend-diver-blue-brown-1\" src=\"\/media\/CACHE\/images\/uploads\/longines-legend-diver-blue-brown-1.81d760e25775.jpg\" style=\"width:100%\" title=\"longines-legend-diver-blue-brown-1\">The new timepieces are the outcome of a product and communication strategy aimed at marketing products addressed to specific markets, although the current online businesses allow watch enthusiasts to purchase any product from anywhere virtually. Please take a look at the gorgeous <strong>Legend Diver Poland Edition in gold<\/strong>, for instance, and how it sublimely combines a vintage diving watch appearance with a gold luxury sports wristwatch feel. Today's <strong>Legend Diver <\/strong>is not a tool watch, despite the original one's specs, including a <strong>Super Compressor <\/strong>case back and inner rotating graduated bezel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"longines-legend-diver-blue-brown-7\" src=\"\/media\/CACHE\/images\/uploads\/longines-legend-diver-blue-brown-7.146987a64b32.jpg\" style=\"width:100%\" title=\"longines-legend-diver-blue-brown-7\">The two product variants welcome a technical and consumer-oriented update, as it is the new color palette eye-catching. The smoked blue dial (inner bezel, which is black, excluded) is close to the stunning Petrol Blue as seen on the <strong>Big Eye<\/strong>. The brown dial option pays homage to the old patina <strong>Legend Diver<\/strong> from the sixties, whose average market price is above ten thousand euros when sold with original box and papers. I hardly understand why <strong>Longines<\/strong> didn't introduce a no-date <strong>Legend Diver<\/strong>, something the brand reserved exclusively for the new <strong>bronze Legend Diver<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"longines-legend-diver-blue-brown-4\" src=\"\/media\/CACHE\/images\/uploads\/longines-legend-diver-blue-brown-4.9b57863f7eb6.jpg\" style=\"width:100%\" title=\"longines-legend-diver-blue-brown-4\">At <strong>42 mil<\/strong> across, the <strong>Longines Legend Diver<\/strong> is unchanged; the blue and brown editions showcase a matching brown or blue leather strap with pin buckle. In my personal <strong>Longines Heritage<\/strong> wish list, the <strong>Legend Diver<\/strong> is only second to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/en\/longines-skin-diver-watch-2018-hands-on-horbiter\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color:#0000ff\"><strong>Skin Diver<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, my <strong>Longines<\/strong> Heritage grail watch so far. I see both watches as an attempt to strengthen, along with the <strong>bronze Legend Diver<\/strong>, the vintage diving watch foothold, as proven by the latest communication campaign involving long-standing <strong>Longines<\/strong> collectors. Additionally, raise a hand if you're ready to go swimming with one of them, given they equally adopt a leather strap. The<strong> 2020 Legend Diver<\/strong> houses the <strong>L888.5 caliber <\/strong>featuring a <strong>silicon hairspring<\/strong> and <strong>64 hours of power reserve<\/strong> when fully wound.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"longines-legend-diver-blue-brown-8\" src=\"\/media\/CACHE\/images\/uploads\/longines-legend-diver-blue-brown-8.13b442eb27bd.jpg\" style=\"width:100%\" title=\"longines-legend-diver-blue-brown-8\">It means the new <strong>Longines Legend Diver<\/strong> is a five-year warranty guaranteed timepiece. I took this chance to track the retail price point evolution in the last six years, which has grown due to steady market request, and enhanced technical specifications, raising from <strong>1,610 Euros<\/strong>, in <strong>2014<\/strong>, to <strong>2,280 Euros<\/strong> in <strong>2020<\/strong>. It is all but a negligible price increase, as it is commanding a 7% increase year on year, at a steady price growth rate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"longines-legend-diver-blue-brown\" src=\"\/media\/CACHE\/images\/uploads\/longines-legend-diver-blue-brown.4e29c9e3ecbd.jpg\" style=\"width:100%\" title=\"longines-legend-diver-blue-brown\">I believe the launch price was under-appreciated considering a brand this exclusive, while the current one is appropriate to such a reissue, instead (the threshold being 2,500 Euros for this kind of product).
