The first, especially, marks <strong>Mido<\/strong>\u2018s offering among the ultra-thin mechanical watches.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Still, they both unexpectedly prove <strong>Mido<\/strong> temporarily abandons a strategy focused on their mainstream eighty-hour power reserve automatic caliber. With sister company <strong>ETA<\/strong> offering plenty of options, the brand has thus crafted quite a quintessentially classic timepiece, housing a fine and thin hand-wind mechanical movement, whose code name is <strong>ETA 7001<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a style=\"cursor: zoom-in;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/CACHE\/images\/uploads\/mido-baroncelli-mechanical-limited-edition-m037-405-36-050-00-due.6e87223dc54e.jpg\" rel='prettyPhoto&lt;p data-wpview-marker=\"%5Bgallery%5D\"&gt;.&lt;\/p&gt;'><img class=\"lazyload main-single article wp-post-image\" title=\"Mido Baroncelli Mechanical Limited Edition\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/CACHE\/images\/uploads\/mido-baroncelli-mechanical-limited-edition-m037-405-36-050-00-due.43c40691f472.jpg\" alt=\"Mido Baroncelli Mechanical Limited Edition\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/CACHE\/images\/uploads\/mido-baroncelli-mechanical-limited-edition-m037-405-36-050-00-due.43c40691f472.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Manual wind movements are a rare breed nowadays, in comparison to more common and high-volume automatic ones. The <strong>ETA 7001<\/strong> caliber is an exquisite movement also adopted within the medium and top range, including brands belonging to the <strong>Swatch Group<\/strong>, like <strong>Omega<\/strong> and <strong>Blancpain<\/strong>, back in the days.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This <strong>3Hz<\/strong> beating and <strong>2<\/strong>,<strong>50mm<\/strong> thick movement appeared in <strong>1971<\/strong> thanks to <strong>Peseux<\/strong>, a producer later acquired by <strong>ETA<\/strong>. The <strong>ETA 7001<\/strong> caliber has allowed <strong>Mido<\/strong> to create a <strong>39mm<\/strong> wide and less-than-seven millimeter (<strong>6<\/strong>,<strong>30mm<\/strong> precisely) thick <strong>Baroncelli<\/strong>, which is the thinnest <strong>Baroncelli<\/strong> so far.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The dial gives the <strong>2020 Baroncelli Mechanical Limited Edition<\/strong> a classic feel to it: the base is black lacquered with diamond-cut applied baton indexes atop, who have undergone a <strong>gold PVD<\/strong> treatment, like the case. Produced in <strong>2020 specimens<\/strong>, the <strong>Mido Baroncelli Mechanical Limited Edition<\/strong> retails for <strong>1<\/strong>,<strong>050<\/strong> <strong>Euros<\/strong>, and pairs once again a stunning price to product specifications unrivaled in the class this timepiece belongs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All in all, <strong>Mido<\/strong> is a brand that keeps exploring uncharted business territories, usually creating its niche. This timepiece won\u2019t be the brand\u2019s <em>\u201cbread and butter\u201d<\/em> as it is with an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/en\/mido-ocean-star-diver-600-watch-hands-on-horbiter\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Ocean Star<\/strong><\/a> or a <strong>Multifort<\/strong>, it nonetheless is an excellent proposition among ultra-flat luxury accessible timepieces, with a somewhat sporty take.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I hope <strong>Mido<\/strong> will keep expanding this collection, by adding an option in steel, with pin buckle and, finally, a ceramic case option too.
