The <strong>Breguet Classique 7137<\/strong> is a pillar of the brand's <strong>Classique<\/strong> offering and has undergone, along with reference <strong>7337<\/strong>, a relevant aesthetic renewal. The outcome is the following: the timepiece's style keeps being a nod to a remarkable historical pocket watch, the <strong>Breguet Perpetuelle n<\/strong>\u00b0<strong>5<\/strong>, and a new stunning color variant is enriching the collection. In particular, <strong>Breguet<\/strong> keeps spreading its signature <em>\"blue Breguet\"<\/em> across the range.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"breguet-pocket-watch-perpetuelle-number-5\" src=\"\/media\/CACHE\/images\/uploads\/breguet-pocket-watch-perpetuelle-number-5.c520e7fbbb61.jpg\" style=\"width:100%\" title=\"breguet-pocket-watch-perpetuelle-number-5\">The source of inspiration to the <strong>Breguet Classique 7137<\/strong> is and always has been the <strong>Breguet Perpetuelle n<\/strong>\u00b0<strong>5<\/strong>, as said, with its off-centered displacement of the registers. The <em>\"Man on the Moon\"<\/em> face that is present on the original pocket watch and the current version is replaced here by a new moon, whose appearance is less fantastic and more realistic, displaying craters, and applied atop an underlying blue starry sky.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"breguet-classique-7137-blue-7137bby59vu-2\" src=\"\/media\/CACHE\/images\/uploads\/breguet-classique-7137-blue-7137bby59vu-2.77c6d7350ba9.jpg\" style=\"width:100%\" title=\"breguet-classique-7137-blue-7137bby59vu-2\">The dial showcases a renewed combination of different engine-turned (guilloche) decorations, a technique that <strong>Breguet<\/strong> invented; it is no coincidence that <strong>Breguet<\/strong> watches come with a variety of guilloche, no other manufacturer can equal. Entirely new motifs replace the <em>\"outgoing\"<\/em> <strong>Breguet 7137<\/strong>'s sun-ray motif, engraved inside the date register, and the wavy pattern inside the power reserve register.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"breguet-classique-7137-silver-dial-7137br159vu\" src=\"\/media\/CACHE\/images\/uploads\/breguet-classique-7137-silver-dial-7137br159vu.3f511dd20727.jpg\" style=\"width:100%\" title=\"breguet-classique-7137-silver-dial-7137br159vu\"><strong>Breguet<\/strong> designers' goal was the following, in my opinion: they were looking to make the style appear sleeker, and give the <strong>Classique<\/strong> <strong>7137<\/strong> a more masculine appearance, by adopting new patterns. The power reserve has a <em>\"panier maill\u00e9\"<\/em> basket weave pattern motif, while the date counter offers a <em>\"Damier\"<\/em> checkerboard decoration; the central part has a <em>\"Clous de Paris\"<\/em> hobnailing motif.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"breguet-classique-7137-blue-7137bby59vu\" src=\"\/media\/CACHE\/images\/uploads\/breguet-classique-7137-blue-7137bby59vu.2ff01c52a446.jpg\" style=\"width:100%\" title=\"breguet-classique-7137-blue-7137bby59vu\">Also, <strong>Breguet<\/strong> has introduced a white gold variant which combines a blue <strong>Breguet<\/strong> dial, alongside the yellow gold version with silvered dial. Successfully launched with the <strong>Breguet 5177<\/strong> with Grand Feu enamel dial (and the collector's piece <strong>5175<\/strong> with no date, produced in ten specimens for the <strong>Breguet<\/strong> boutique in <strong>Ginza<\/strong>, exclusively), the <strong>Blue Breguet 7137<\/strong> is an eye-catcher.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"breguet-classique-7137-silver-dial-7137br159vu-1\" src=\"\/media\/CACHE\/images\/uploads\/breguet-classique-7137-silver-dial-7137br159vu-1.112a3ba37486.jpg\" style=\"width:100%\" title=\"breguet-classique-7137-silver-dial-7137br159vu-1\">It pairs a central part that contrasts with the white gold outer ring featuring Roman numerals on a white gold case, thus offering an entirely new take on this model and a somewhat sportier personality. Nothing has changed from a technical standpoint: the <strong>Breguet Classique 7137 <\/strong>is <strong>39mm<\/strong> wide (and <strong>8<\/strong>,<strong>65mm<\/strong> thick). It houses the extra-flat <strong>Breguet caliber 502<\/strong>.<strong>3 DR1<\/strong> featuring an off-centered 18-karat gold oscillating mass, a flat balance spring, and an escapement with silicon-made horns. We would love to see the current 45 hours of power reserve increase anytime soon.
