It initially created quite a stir but has soon become the hallmark of all things <strong>A<\/strong>.<strong>Lange &amp; S\u00f6hne<\/strong>. The brand is celebrating this year that anniversary with a series of commemorative timepieces, where the <strong>2019 Lange 1 25<\/strong><sup>th<\/sup> <strong>Anniversary<\/strong> is just the first outcome. The new commemorative model debuts a new color combination that includes blue tones and reinforces once again the decorative skills of Saxon watchmakers; I was privileged to witness in person during my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/en\/stepping-into-the-world-of-a-lange-soehne-watches-report-horbiter\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>recent visit to their new manufacture<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"lange-soehne-lange-1-25th-anniversary-watch-horbiter-2\" src=\"\/media\/CACHE\/images\/uploads\/lange-soehne-lange-1-25th-anniversary-watch-horbiter-2.c277c5f3c29c.jpg\" alt=\"lange-soehne-lange-1-25th-anniversary-watch-horbiter-2\">The <strong>A<\/strong>.<strong>Lange &amp; S\u00f6hne Lange 1 25<\/strong><sup>th<\/sup> <strong>Anniversary<\/strong> features a solid silver dial with dark blue numerals and indexes, outsized date with numerals crafted in blue and a matching blue alligator leather strap with contrasting gray stitching.\u00a0The case back\u2019s decoration is a nod to the history of a watch that has soon become the reference point of the brand: a solid gold cover protects the see-through sapphire crystal on which a depiction of \u201c<strong>Casa Lange<\/strong>\u201c, inaugurated in <strong>1873<\/strong>, has been reproduced alongside an engraving of <strong>Walter Lange<\/strong> and <strong>G\u00fcnter<\/strong> <strong>Bl\u00fcmlein<\/strong>\u2018s names and the inscription \u201c25 JAHRE LANGE 1\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"lange-soehne-lange-1-25th-anniversary-watch-horbiter-4\" src=\"\/media\/CACHE\/images\/uploads\/lange-soehne-lange-1-25th-anniversary-watch-horbiter-4.7283eb63d129.jpg\" alt=\"lange-soehne-lange-1-25th-anniversary-watch-horbiter-4\">By flipping over the gold cover, you can enjoy a full view of\u00a0<strong>caliber L121<\/strong>.<strong>1<\/strong>, a mechanical hand-wound movement equipped with a three-quarter plate and a unique feature, that makes each of the <strong>250 specimens<\/strong> of the <strong>Lange 1 25<\/strong><sup>th<\/sup> <strong>Anniversary<\/strong> unique.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"lange-soehne-lange-1-25th-anniversary-watch-horbiter-5\" src=\"\/media\/CACHE\/images\/uploads\/lange-soehne-lange-1-25th-anniversary-watch-horbiter-5.7e2f0565203a.jpg\" alt=\"lange-soehne-lange-1-25th-anniversary-watch-horbiter-5\">The bridge of the balance cock has been hand-engraved and carries the <strong>Big Date<\/strong> window, boasting the figure \u201c25\u201d, depicted in dark blue.
