The <strong>2018<\/strong> starts again from the <strong>Grande Seconde<\/strong> collection and from a preview that is a tiny preamble to what the brand will present this year. There are no teasers within the new collections but they <strong>280<\/strong>\u2013<strong>year<\/strong>\u2013<strong>anniversary<\/strong> that will be celebrated this year is a \u201c<em>serious<\/em>\u201d milestone to mark and there is no doubt that <strong>Jaquet Droz<\/strong> will present something memorable in <strong>Basel<\/strong>. It is hard to think of anything that could possibly be more precious than the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/en\/jaquet-droz-tropical-bird-repeater-orologio-recensione-prezzo\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Tropical Bird Repeater<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, but chances are that the manufacture\u00a0has already conceived something prestigious some years ago in preparation for this occasion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"jaquet-droz-grande-seconde-moon-black-enamel\" src=\"\/media\/uploads\/jaquet-droz-grande-seconde-moon-black-enamel.jpg\" alt=\"jaquet-droz-grande-seconde-moon-black-enamel\">While we are still waiting for the next novelty, <strong>Jaquet Droz<\/strong> already gave a new look to their <strong>Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Moon<\/strong>; one of the brand\u2019s most successful watches. I touched it for the first time with my very own hands, while I was in the small parlor of the <strong>Jaquet<\/strong> <strong>Droz<\/strong> booth in <strong>Basel<\/strong>; this complicated timepiece has since then become one of the brand\u2019s most read articles on the pages of our <strong>Horbiter<\/strong>\u00ae magazine. The beauty secret of a <strong>Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Moon<\/strong> lies in the special balance that the brand\u2019s designers have achieved between the \u201c<em>almost perfect<\/em>\u201d moon (that is precise for at least <strong>122 years<\/strong> and <strong>46 days<\/strong>) and the gold ring of the calendar with a hand crafted on a white base and then enameled using the <strong>Grand Feu<\/strong> technique. It is actually the <strong>Grand Feu<\/strong> \u2013 an ancient technique of which <strong>Jaquet Droz<\/strong> is one of the greatest (and few) modern interpreters \u2013 that represents the biggest surprise.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"jaquet-droz-grande-seconde-moon-black-enamel-3\" src=\"\/media\/uploads\/jaquet-droz-grande-seconde-moon-black-enamel-3.jpg\" alt=\"jaquet-droz-grande-seconde-moon-black-enamel-3\">The <strong>Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Moon Black Enamel<\/strong> will soon be available with a black double-layer enamel dial paired with the classic satin ring made of <strong>18<\/strong>\u2013<strong>carat<\/strong>\u2013<strong>red<\/strong>\u2013<strong>gold<\/strong> (like the case), the applied stars in gold and the <strong>moon<\/strong> in <strong>22<\/strong>\u2013<strong>carat<\/strong>\u2013<strong>gold<\/strong> inserted on a disk in black onyx.\u00a0All the other features remain unchanged, the case maintains its current <strong>43mm<\/strong> size and the caliber is exactly the same as the one hidden within the <strong>Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Moon<\/strong>; an automatic movement with a <strong>silicon balance spring<\/strong> and up to <strong>68 hours of power reserve<\/strong>. Unlike its brother with an ivory-colored <strong>Grand Feu<\/strong> dial, the <strong>Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Moon Black Enamel<\/strong> is an extremely elegant complicated timepiece to wear for an evening out.
