Today, the great jeweler belonging to the <strong>LVMH<\/strong> group, is constantly involved in the world of haute-horlogerie; a sector that has been growing at an incredible pace and whose new hero is the <strong>Octo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Bulgari-bdinner-Roma-9\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Bulgari-bdinner-Roma-9.jpg\" alt=\"Bulgari-bdinner-Roma-9\">The <strong>Octo<\/strong> was also the protagonist of the \u201c<em>B-Dinner<\/em>\u201c; an event organized by <strong>Watchonista<\/strong> \u2013 our media partner \u2013 and <strong>Bulgari<\/strong>, where a selected group of web influencers was asked to take part in an intense and, I would add \u201cquite unforgettable\u201d, Roman day.<br>\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Bulgari-bdinner-Roma-10\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Bulgari-bdinner-Roma-10.jpg\" alt=\"Bulgari-bdinner-Roma-10\">My passion for this collection is well-known; it is the collection that has exponentially increased my interest in <strong>Bulgari<\/strong> as a manufacturer, which, with its <strong>Finissimo<\/strong>, gave a further shaking to the world of watch-making, thus showing us, once and for all, that <strong>Bulgari<\/strong> is taking it very seriously when it comes to being a watches brand. The <strong>Finissimo<\/strong> is still the automatic watch with the world\u2019s thinnest caliber, even in its complicated versions such as the <strong>Skeleton<\/strong> or the <strong>Minute Repeater<\/strong>, and I think it will maintain this record for quite a long time to come.<br>\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Bulgari-Octo-bdinner-Roma-Jean-Christophe-Babin\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Bulgari-Octo-bdinner-Roma-Jean-Christophe-Babin.jpg\" alt=\"Bulgari-Octo-bdinner-Roma-Jean-Christophe-Babin\">Behind the scenes was a \u201c<em>dream team<\/em>\u201d made up of <strong>Jean<\/strong>\u2013<strong>Christophe<\/strong> <strong>Babin<\/strong>, <strong>Guido Terreni<\/strong>\u00a0and <strong>Fabrizio Buonamassa<\/strong> (CEO, Director of the Watch Division and Creative Director, respectively).The creative contribution of the man who led <strong>TAG Heuer<\/strong> for many years is still quite tangible. The result is that, for products such as the <strong>Octo Finissimo<\/strong> \u2013 one of the best watches unveiled\u00a0in Basel this year \u2013 the demand has outstripped the offer by far.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Bulgari-Octo-bdinner-Roma-Guido-Terreni\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Bulgari-Octo-bdinner-Roma-Guido-Terreni.jpg\" alt=\"Bulgari-Octo-bdinner-Roma-Guido-Terreni\">And if we also consider that, while I\u2019m writing this article, <strong>Bulgari<\/strong> has presented a limited series model to celebrate its single-branded-boutique on the <strong>Fifth Avenue<\/strong>, I reckon that <strong>Bulgari<\/strong> has created, in a very short period of time, an icon of style designed to last for a long time (just like the <strong>Bulgari Bulgari <\/strong>was). We know how difficult it is to come up with a break-through item, and being able to create an icon in a sector dominated by sacred monsters is quite a remarkable achievement.<br>\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Bulgari-bdinner-Roma-4\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Bulgari-bdinner-Roma-4.jpg\" alt=\"Bulgari-bdinner-Roma-4\">The <strong>Bulgari<\/strong> boutique in <strong>Rome<\/strong> is located on <strong>Via Condotti<\/strong>, opposite the historic \u201c<em>Caff\u00e9 Greco<\/em>\u201d and almost adjacent to the Spanish Steps. In <strong>2013<\/strong>, I had visited this boutique in quite a superficial way at the beginning of my adventure, but, today, I have been lucky enough to really discover it and listen to the story and the anecdotes of the family and to share with my friends from the world of media some ideas and opinions about the <strong>Octo<\/strong> models; from the <strong>Roma<\/strong>\u00a0to the <strong>Finissimo<\/strong>, all the way up to the high range versions I mentioned above.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Bulgari-Octo-Roma-bdinner-Roma-13\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Bulgari-Octo-Roma-bdinner-Roma-13.jpg\" alt=\"Bulgari-Octo-Roma-bdinner-Roma-13\">In this blend of timepieces, it was quite interesting to see, for the first time, the <strong>Octo Maserati GranLusso<\/strong>; an automatic watch with retrograde hours that simulates a rev counter. The <em>Trident<\/em> doesn\u2019t need any presentations and\u00a0it is part of my childhood, as my dad used to drive one of them.<br>\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Bulgari-Octo-Granlusso-bdinner-Roma-7\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Bulgari-Octo-Granlusso-bdinner-Roma-7.jpg\" alt=\"Bulgari-Octo-Granlusso-bdinner-Roma-7\">A great opportunity you are granted when you take part to an event like the \u201c<em>B-Dinner<\/em>\u201d is that you can exchange points of view with other influencers, who are not coming from the world of watch-making; their comments are precious and they show you how much an outside eye can help you seize details that a trained eye that constantly and solely observes watches would sometimes fail to catch.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Bulgari-Octo-Finissimo-bdinner-Roma-13\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Bulgari-Octo-Finissimo-bdinner-Roma-13.jpg\" alt=\"Bulgari-Octo-Finissimo-bdinner-Roma-13\">All the rest is mechanics that would need to be venerated, like the mechanics of the <strong>Skeleton<\/strong>, that, like the <strong>Minute Repeater<\/strong>, I saw for the very first time.
