The minimalist style, the attention to trends, and the culture of innovative materials form the basis of the vision of the brand from Legnau; the forerunner of many of the innovations in the world of watch-making that all modern brands take full inspiration from.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Rado<\/strong>\u00a0is well-known across the world and could be easily compared to what brands like <strong>Artemide<\/strong>\u00a0or <strong>Lema<\/strong> represent in the world of luxury furniture-making or even to what a <strong>Wally<\/strong> would represent among luxury yachts. It is no coincidence that <strong>Rado<\/strong>\u00a0is a cross-brand, and the undisputed protagonist of events such as the <strong>Salone del Mobile<\/strong>; a show that involves all types of designing and that offers a variety of events and stimuli to anyone who revolves around this universe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Andrea-Caputo-Rado-Star-Prize-2017-otto\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Andrea-Caputo-Rado-Star-Prize-2017-otto.jpg\" alt=\"Andrea-Caputo-Rado-Star-Prize-2017-otto\">The \u201cRado\u00a0Star Prize\u201d is the practical contribution of <strong>Rado<\/strong>\u00a0to the development of designing in watch-making as a subject that is inspired by related fields, otherwise known as \u201c<em>cross<\/em>\u2013<em>fertilization<\/em>\u201d \u2013 as stated to our microphones by <strong>Andrea Caputo<\/strong> -. He is the <strong>VP<\/strong> <strong>Marketing<\/strong> of the brand\u00a0that has paved the way for ceramic to enter the industrial world and thus enable its further development and diffusion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Rado-Star-Prize-2017-due\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Rado-Star-Prize-2017-due.jpg\" alt=\"Rado-Star-Prize-2017-due\">Fostering cross-fertilization means being a philanthropic organization and developing projects that allow young talents to express themselves in projects related to the future of our society; this is the idea that has involved <strong>40 young people<\/strong> from three different designing areas of the <strong>Marangoni Institute<\/strong> \u2013 the think tank of international designing that is based in <strong>Milan<\/strong> and that collaborates with <strong>Rado<\/strong>\u00a0on joint projects.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These young people were asked to imagine the future in 100 years\u2019 time and three of these young people reached the final stage of the competition; an event that was held at the Institute\u2019s headquarters on April 6<sup>th<\/sup>, and where the audience could see live the projects exhibited. The exhibition was named <em>\u201c2117 \u2013 The world of Fashion &amp; Design in 100 years\u201d<\/em> and it featured important guests and speakers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Rado-Star-Prize-2017-tre\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Rado-Star-Prize-2017-tre_jvOTWXy.jpg\" alt=\"Rado-Star-Prize-2017-tre\">Among the speakers at the \u201cRado\u00a0Star Prize 2017\u201d were <strong>Massimo Zanatta<\/strong>\u00a0(Director of the Marangoni Design Institute), <strong>Giulio<\/strong> <strong>Cappellini<\/strong> (Jury Director and Art Director of Cappellini Milano), <strong>Hakim El Kadiri<\/strong> (Product Development Manager at Rado), <strong>Paolo<\/strong> <strong>Meroni<\/strong> and <strong>Livia Peraldo Matton<\/strong>; a member of the <strong>Higher Education Academy <\/strong>of<strong> Marangoni<\/strong> and the <strong>Managing Director <\/strong>of <strong>Elle Decor Italy<\/strong>, respectively. The trend forecaster <strong>Lidewij<\/strong> <strong>Edelkoort<\/strong> was also part of the group; her books and lectures, just like the one held in Via Cerva, anticipate global trends and are carefully studied by many companies around the world with the goal to develop in advance brand and product strategies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Rado-Star-Prize-2017-sei\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Rado-Star-Prize-2017-sei_KDzxLEk.jpg\" alt=\"Rado-Star-Prize-2017-sei\">Lidewij Edelkoort<\/strong> was probably the most prestigious guest at an exhibition that saw young <strong>Mijal<\/strong> <strong>Lebel<\/strong> win the coveted award within the \u201c<strong>Best Interior Design<\/strong>\u201d category thanks to her \u201cC<em>ellular fabric<\/em>\u201d design, which is able to grow by itself and reproduce itself too. Mijal won a <strong>5,000 euro<\/strong> award and a <strong>Rado<\/strong> watch; a <strong>Rado<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>True Thinline<\/strong> to be more specific, one of the best examples of \u201c<em>hyper<\/em>\u2013<em>minimal<\/em>\u201d design (as I personally like to call it).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Rado-True-Thinline-Colours\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Rado-True-Thinline-Colours.jpg\" alt=\"Rado-True-Thinline-Colours\">During the exhibition, held inside the venue that hosted the \u201cRado\u00a0Star Prize 2017\u201d, some of the brand\u2019s iconic collections and tangible examples of the work <strong>Rado<\/strong>\u00a0has been carried out with several international designers, and collaborations that have produced original and avant-garde watches; a topic that <strong>Andrea Caputo<\/strong> explained in our video-interview and something that he had anticipated during <strong>Baselworld 2017<\/strong>\u00a0too.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Rado-True-Phospo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Rado-True-Phospo.jpg\" alt=\"Rado-True-Phospo\">Watches like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/rado-true-phospho-big-game-orologio-recensione\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Rado<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>True Phospho<\/strong><\/span><\/a> \u2013 the result of a partnership with the Swiss design studio \u201c<strong>Big Game<\/strong>\u201d \u2013 or the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/en\/rado-true-stratum-watch-hands-on\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Rado<\/strong><strong>\u00a0True Stratum<\/strong><\/span><\/a> \u2013 created by the Austrian designer <strong>Rainer Mutsch<\/strong> \u2013 are something more than simple watches with which <strong>Rado<\/strong>\u00a0intends to mark milestones in the world of designing and communication, not just in the world of watch-making.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Rado-True-Stratum\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Rado-True-Stratum_HdU0bGj.jpg\" alt=\"Rado-True-Stratum\">The \u201cRado Star Prize 2017\u201d has seen a tremendous success among the audience and it was an interesting experience for <strong>Horbiter<\/strong>\u00ae too; our chance to extend our horizons to experiences and projects that are not only limited to the world of watch-making and something that will see us more and more involved in in the near future.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">(Photo and Video credit: Horbiter\u00ae)<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height: 10px; height: auto; width: auto; margin: 0 auto; position: relative; display: table;\"><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">Gaetano C @Horbiter\u00ae<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>No other brand in the world of watch-making is more committed to the modern concept of design than Rado\u00a0itself.
