I am sure you do, at least for two main reasons; the Italian brand created the only <strong>88 watches<\/strong> in the world equipped with a <strong>Protox<\/strong>\u2013<strong>treated<\/strong> <strong>bronze<\/strong>\u2013<strong>made<\/strong> case, a coating that guarantees a natural oxidation process and that gives your watch an extremely authentic vintage look.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Tazzoli<\/strong> was a big success even beyond expectations, the very reduced production typical of a collector\u2019s piece and its original style turned it quickly into a wish-list item and these features are I guess also the basis of <strong>Terracielomare<\/strong>\u2019s choice to craft a numbered edition<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>of the\u00a0new <strong>Terra Cielo Mare\u00a0Tazzoli Oceanico<\/strong>, the second part of what we can consider the flagship of the small tailoring manufacturer of Italian timepieces.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Terracielomare_collezione_2016\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Terracielomare_collezione_2016_Zzj4HH2.jpg\" alt=\"Terracielomare collezione 2016\">The <strong>Terra Cielo Mare Tazzoli Oceanico<\/strong> is the second half of a beautiful story that is made up of authenticity and the willingness of a brand to come up with a two-digit limited number edition geared towards a restricted groups of aficionados who are capable to appreciate the finest things in life. The <strong>marine bronze<\/strong> and <strong>Protox<\/strong>-treated case have\u00a0been replaced by a case that is the same size as the first <strong>Tazzoli<\/strong>\u2019s, namely <strong>44mm<\/strong> in diameter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The structure of the new case, however, is more complex as it is made up of a <strong>PVD<\/strong>\u2013<strong>treated<\/strong> (<em>Physical Vapour Deposition<\/em>) <strong>titanium<\/strong>\u2013<strong>made<\/strong> central part and an additional <strong>phosphor marine bronze<\/strong> frame. The phosphor marin\u00a0bronze alloys that exist today differ quite a lot from each other but they generally sport one common trait: <strong>high resistance to corrosion<\/strong> and the ability to get <strong>easily welded<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These are the characteristics that have probably prompted <strong>Terra Cielo Mare<\/strong> to craft a structure of the case that looks like being definitely more complex than the <strong>Tazzoli Marinis<\/strong>\u2019s, simply take a look at the strong slots present on the sides of the case-middle and you will immediately understand what I am talking about.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Terracielomare_Tazzoli_Oceanico\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Terracielomare_Tazzoli_Oceanico.jpg\" alt=\"Terracielomare Tazzoli Oceanico\">This year, I have tried on two different timepieces with a bronze case from two different brands; the <strong>Terra Cielo Mare Tazzoli Oceanic<\/strong> is actually my third experience.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The first two watches have been generically classified as \u201c<em>timepieces with a bronze-made case<\/em>\u201d with no additional information given about the features of the bronze used and if you consider the vast amount of alloys existing on the market, I think that not even a chemist wouldn\u2019t be able to identify the different features.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Terra Cielo Mare<\/strong> is the only brand that explicitly declares the type of bronze it used for the case of its timepieces and that actually helps both the most curious users and aficionados to deep even further into a watch\u2019s specifics.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Terracielomare_Tazzoli_Oceanico\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Terracielomare_Tazzoli_Oceanico_evi.jpg\" alt=\"Terracielomare Tazzoli Oceanico\">From what I could see after using this timepiece for two full weeks, the oxidation process of phosphor bronze gradually tends to uniformly coat the <strong>Terra Cielo Mare Tazzoli Oceanico<\/strong>\u2019s case with a thin dark gray film that gives the case an incredible glossy effect.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I have waited two additional days before taking a picture of my watch so that the oxidation process could reach its full potential because I really wanted that process to be completed so that it only left intact the original thin polished yellow ring in the gap between the <strong>bezel<\/strong> and the <strong>lugs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Don\u2019t panic if you are not familiar with this oxidation process since it actually represents an\u00a0additional protection shield from external agents.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Terracielomare_Tazzoli_Oceanico_4\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Terracielomare_Tazzoli_Oceanico_4.jpg\" alt=\"Terracielomare Tazzoli Oceanico 4\">A timepiece that while still in its box I was not yet fully familiar with, because of the extreme polished look of the case and the strong contrast between that polished look and the vintage treatment used on the strap, has quickly acquired a new personality and it seems as if I had inherited it from the captain of a vessel from the middle of last century.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">What I still can\u2019t fully like is this timepiece\u2019s titanium-made case-back that has undergone a <strong>PVD<\/strong> treatment. It is nicely done, but\u00a0I can\u2019t fully discern the <strong>Tazzoli<\/strong> effigy on it and I would have personally opted for a <strong>bronze coating<\/strong> instead, no matter if that could have stained my wrist in the long run.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Terracielomare_Tazzoli_Oceanico_6\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Terracielomare_Tazzoli_Oceanico_6.jpg\" alt=\"Terracielomare Tazzoli Oceanico 6\">The first thing that I have noted when I first fully wound the watch is that there was no vibration whatsoever coming from the winding rotor and, without the need to immediately turn (again) to the watch\u2019s specifics, it made me think that there was something else beating inside the case than an <strong>ETA<\/strong>-derived caliber.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I reckon I am not exaggerating in saying that <strong>Terra Cielo Mare<\/strong> is rapidly moving towards the concept of a true manufacture; the idea to equip the inside of the <strong>Terra Cielo Mare Tazzoli Oceanico<\/strong> with a <strong>Concepto<\/strong>-built caliber, the very leader in supplying high range mechanic movements, represents an important step and I wish that it also marked the beginning of a new path that will lead <strong>Terra Cielo Mare<\/strong> to become the <strong>first Italian high range integrated manufacturer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Terracielomare_Tazzoli_Oceanico_3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Terracielomare_Tazzoli_Oceanico_3.jpg\" alt=\"Terracielomare Tazzoli Oceanico 3\">This timepiece is extremely comfortable to wear, both because of the softness of the <strong>English<\/strong> leather that is <strong>Italian<\/strong> hand-stitched and because of the smart positioning of the \u201c<em>crown which covers the crown<\/em>\u201d that you need to unscrew to reveal the actual winding crown.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Terra Cielo Mare Tazzoli Oceanico <\/strong>still is one of the most original three hands timepieces with a vintage look that you can find on the market, it is on a completely different level than all those industrially-produced timepieces that are equipped with a <strong>bronze<\/strong>\u2013<strong>made<\/strong> case simply because it is in fashion, this watch actually represents the opportunity to craft something that no-one else has even come up with before.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Terracielomare_Tazzoli_Oceanico_7\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Terracielomare_Tazzoli_Oceanico_7.jpg\" alt=\"Terracielomare Tazzoli Oceanico 7\">Many metals and alloys allow manufacturers to play on the glossy effect and on the customization concept, it started off with the leather strap and it is quickly spreading to the entire watch but you need to realize that it is not only bronze that can oxidize or the yellow colour that you can use on a timepiece.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" title=\"Terracielomare_Tazzoli_Oceanico_8\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/Terracielomare_Tazzoli_Oceanico_8.jpg\" alt=\"Terracielomare Tazzoli Oceanico 8\">If you around <strong>Genoa<\/strong> today, don\u2019t miss out\u00a0the <strong>Terra Cielo Mare Tazzoli Oceanico<\/strong>, the entire <strong>2016 collection<\/strong> and the brand\u2019s historical timepieces, as they\u00a0will be on display at <strong>6PM<\/strong> at <strong>Cicala Jewelers<\/strong>.<\/div>\n<p>(Photo credit: Horbiter\u00ae)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">Gaetano C @Horbiter\u00ae<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GaetanoCimmino\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@Gaetano Cimmino<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you remember the Terra Cielo Mare Tazzoli Marinis AES?
