Third and last statement: as far as I remember, the <strong>IWC Big Pilot\u2019s Watch Edition \u201cPatrouille Suisse\u201d<\/strong> <strong>500910<\/strong> is the fourth <strong>Big Pilot\u2019s Watch <\/strong>(after the<strong> IWC Big Pilot\u2019s Watch Tribute to Japan<\/strong>, the<strong> IWC Big Pilot\u2019s Watch DFB German Footbal Special Edition <\/strong>and the <strong>IWC Big Pilot\u2019s Watch Bartorelli<\/strong>) to be given this special layout. This very last statement, from an enthusiast\u2019s perspective and a collector\u2019s standpoint, is not a negligible thing but rather quite a unique one.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/IWC_Big_Pilots_Watch_Edition_Patrouille_Suisse.jpg\" style=\"width:100%\" title=\"IWC_Big_Pilots_Watch_Edition_Patrouille_Suisse\">The <strong>IWC Pilot\u2019s Watches<\/strong>, which are named after the prestigious aerobatic team \u201cPatrouille Suisse\u201d, are among the best neat-looking limited edition watches ever released by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iwc.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color:#0000ff\"><strong>IWC<\/strong><\/span><\/a>. This is actually the third <strong>Pilot\u2019s watch<\/strong> to sport the \u201cPatrouille Suisse\u201d insignia, after the brand\u2019s recently released a limited edition <strong>IWC Pilot\u2019s Double Chronograph <\/strong>that we reviewed in our magazine over one year ago (please click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/en\/the-iwc-pilots-watch-double-chronograph-edition-patrouille-suisse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color:#0000ff\"><strong>here <\/strong><\/span><\/a>to view our June feature) and the <strong>IWC Pilot\u2019s Watch Chronograph Edition \"Patrouille Suisse\"<\/strong>. Aesthetically speaking, and in terms of look and feel, this timepiece fits perfectly well in between a <strong>classic brushed and polished stainless steel IWC Big Pilot\u2019s Watch 5009<\/strong> and a super tech-savvy <strong>matte black IWC Big Pilot\u2019s Watch 5009 <\/strong>to which a seconds counter at nine o\u2019clock has been added. The seconds counter is paired with the <strong>Power Reserve <\/strong>indicator placed at three o\u2019 clock, a layout that makes this watch not just a <strong>Limited Edition<\/strong>, but that actually redefines it as a whole new model per se.<br>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horbiter.com\/media\/uploads\/IWC_Big_Pilots_Watch_Edition_Patrouille_Suisse_2.jpg\" style=\"width:100%\" title=\"IWC_Big_Pilots_Watch_Edition_Patrouille_Suisse_2\"><br>\nThe case has originally been crafted in stainless steel and then subsequently blasted to give it the very same style of a <strong>Grade 5 Titanium <\/strong>big watch, while the dial has a <strong>sun pattern finish<\/strong>. These bold aesthetical clues can sometimes diverge our attention from the fact that the <strong>IWC Big Pilot\u2019s Watch Edition \u201cPatrouille Suisse\u201d<\/strong> also sports a very long list of technical features that have made <strong>Big Pilot\u2019s watches<\/strong> a favourite among connoisseurs. These technical features include the glorious <strong>in-house-manufactured 51011 caliber<\/strong>, the biggest automatic movement ever conceived by <strong>IWC <\/strong>that includes some brand\u2019s patented characteristics such as the <strong>spring-mounted rotor <\/strong>and the <strong>Pellaton <\/strong>pawl-winding system lending easily this watch an impressive <strong>7-day-Power-Reserve<\/strong>. Right in the middle of the case back, three tiny aircrafts in the shape of a <strong>Northrop F-5E <\/strong>(the jet used by the aerobatic team) highlight, along with the <strong>250 limited production run<\/strong>, the exclusivity of this collection. No pricing information is available yet but do expect to see a premium price in comparison to the standard model.
