Soon after having launched the "Jubilee Edition" (here) IWC debuts a new Limited Edition Pilot's watch: the IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph Edition JU-AIR. This chronograph celebrates the longstanding partnership between the manufacture from Schaffausen and the swiss airline that owns four historical Junkers JU-52 aircrafts, one of them has carried the IWC logo on its wings throughout Europe over the last 20 years.
The IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph Edition JU-AIR is a special edition of the IWC Spitfire Chrono, a mechanical automatic chronograph with flyback function equipped with the in-house manufactured caliber 89365, that ensures 68 hours of power reserve, and boasting a 43mm wide and 15,5mm high stainless steel case. This edition, made in just 500 pieces, follows up the amazing Tribeca 2014 Edition and is therefore the second addition in a row, this year, to the Spitfire collection.
The IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph Edition JU-AIR's dial is rhodium-plated and has indexes and hands which, compared to the stock version, are covered with white luminescent material. The second chrono hand is central, the minute chrono hand is placed at 12 o'clock while the small hacking second counter is placed at 6 o' clock and boasts a red small hand.
