The IWC Big Pilot's Watch Edition Le Petit Prince

IWC debuts a new limited edition of the Big Pilot Watch, its Pilot collection's flagship timepiece. It is the IWC Big Pilot Watch Edition Le Petit Prince, named after the famous novel written by legendary aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupèry.

The IWC Big Pilot Watch Edition Le Petit Prince is the fifth Pilot's watch in a row to feature the "Le Petit Prince" hallmark, after the brand has launched two perpetual calendars, a chrono and a Mark XVII. They all boast some exclusive aesthetical caracteristics that immediately stand out if you place the limited edition wirstwatch alongside the standard model.

Big Arabic Rhodium-plated applied numerals, hour, minute and second hands with a new design, an oversized luminous triangle at 12 and a different minute track are, alongside a midnight blue dial, the main features of the Edition Le Petit Prince, you may see below in an image taken from the official IWC forum.

Last but not least, as it is with any other model from this series, the alligator leather strap has been replaced by a brown calf leather one that gives this Big Pilot a vintage touch.

The IWC Big Pilot Watch Edition Le Petit Prince will be made in just 1000 pieces; no information yet about its retail price. It is equipped with manufactured caliber 51111, mechanical automatic with Pellaton winding mechanism that ensures a 7 day power reserve, has a Glucydur balance, a soft iron inner case to protect it against magnetic fields and is encased into a 46mm wide and 16mm thick stainless steel case. It retails for 13.700€.
